Coral Springs Florida Is Highly Sought After Real Estate
Coral Springs Florida is highly sought after real estate for many reasons. In 1963, when Coral Springs was chartered, it was slated to be a retirement community. Every inch was planned by design. Top priority being the esthetics of the city, the developers wanted an upscale look. There were restrictions on exterior paint colors, landscaping and commercial signs. Even clothes lines were not permitted. Our city made it into the Trivia Pursuit game. McDonalds stands in Coral Springs without its notorious golden arches!
As of the 2010 United States Census, the city has a population of 183,716. In the city the population was spread out with 38,335 residents (27.8%) under the age of 18, 14,560 (10.5%) from 18 to 24, 35,927 (26.0%) from 25 to 44, 39,821 (28.8%) from 45 to 64, and 9,358 (6.8%) who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35.7 years. For every 100 females there were 93.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 85.7 males.
The result of Coral Springs being so beautiful, families of all ages insisted on purchasing in Coral Springs as well, scratching the original plans of a retirement community. So, a mall was added, 20 schools and parks. Even the late Johnny Carson saw the value in our pristine city and bought a piece of it as well. Coral Springs Florida is approximately 20 miles northwest of Fort Lauderdale and 28 miles west of the Beach. Its surrounding cities are Parkland, Coconut Creek, Tamarac and Boca Raton.
Money Magazine Publicized Coral Springs as the Best City in the United States in Which To Live
In 2010, Coral Springs was ranked #1 in all of Florida as the safest place to live. In 2006, Money Magazine publicized Coral Springs as the best city in the United States in which to live. Three years in a row, Coral Springs holds the honor of one of the 100 Best Communities for Young People. In past years, Coral Springs was the proud recipient of the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award from the President for performance excellence.
Coral Springs Florida is known for its excellence in education within the schools. The city also has over 60 parks for all your recreational needs including tennis courts and an Aquatic Center.
