The city of Sunrise is seeking to attract new residents and improving the appearance and property values in Sunrise neighborhoods. Effective January 1, 2012, the City of Sunrise is reimbursing homebuyers up to $2,000 for select improvements to a newly-purchased single-family foreclosure or short sale home. Under this innovative New Homebuyer Incentive Program. The New Homebuyer Incentive Program is administered by the Redevelopment & Grants Division of the City of Sunrise Community Development Department. In order to claim this, homebuyers have to get prequalified for a conventional, fixed-rate mortgage or FHA mortgage. Then, work with a Realtor® to find a single-family foreclosure or short sale in Sunrise. Then you must get prequalified for the City’s New Homebuyer Incentive Program grant. It’s that easy. The Sunrise property has to be a short sale or foreclosure. And then you have to make the improvements to the property.
Sunrise On The Upswing
Because of this incentive, the Sunrise housing market has seen an upswing. Making it a healthy real estate market right now. It’s also making a difference as to whether somebody will buy a property or not. And there is a trickle down effect because of this program. People are using local sunrise stores to purchase goods for repairs, hiring area merchants, and increasing the property value of the home.
